We all know that the 24/7 business cycle, a globalised working environment and technology such as smart phones pushes our workload outside of typical 9-5 hours. But if you’re fed up of the blurred line between work and play, then Glassdoor has put together a list of Britain’s best employers for work life balance.
A recent study by meditation app Anamaya found 40 per cent of Britons ranked a stress-free day at work above pay and pensions. Additionally, a quarter of professionals are unhappy with their work life balance, according to a survey by Investec Private Banking.
So which companies can offer frazzled employees greener pastures? Market research and business intelligence provider Euromonitor International climbed to the top of the list with an average score of 4.6. The 321-year old Bank of England came in at second place having clinched the same score.
“There is a diverse range of sectors on the Top 20 list including tech, travel, recruitment, banking and market research. However, no sign of any retail brands,” Glassdoor said.
“Tech dominates the list, holding eight out of 20 top spots.”
MediaMath UK was ranked number 3 in the UK’s top 20 best companies for work life balance.
