We receive up to 10 million advertising opportunities per second, which we run through over several internal and partner enrichments to extract many targetable properties which we then match against 100s of thousands of advertising strategies to choose the best ad and we do all this in less than 1/10th of a second.

Key Responsibilities

As Product Manager (Manager, Product Management), you will lead ideation, development, and ongoing management of multiple data pipelines and the products they enhance. You will manage expectations among both internal and external clients and stakeholders to pursue simplified, robust and scalable systems.

You will:

  • Write amazingly clear, inspirational, context-rich and actionable user stories that get passionate engineers excited to write code.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize your user stories into Agile sprints
  • Partner across the company to understand your client’s requirements when upgrading their underlying services
  • Build dependency maps among different engineering teams and manage sequencing for roadmap planning
  • Show persistence and ability to “sell the dream” to internal teams that will need to carve out resources to test and migrate to the advanced systems you own
  • Work with engineers to design monitoring systems to diagnose health and operationality for downstream consumers
  • Act as the internal and external domain expert on all issues pertaining to data privacy and adherence to old and new legislations affecting MediaMath

You are:

  • Experienced in Kafka, or other event based technology
  • Experienced in an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Able to be technically hands on when required

You have:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years product management experience
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to visualize, illustrate and clearly communicate data flows and supporting processes 
  • Completed some coursework in computer science or gone to a coding program (not essential, but desirable)
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Presto, Spark or related technologies
  • Technical API experience (highly desirable)
