Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, in partnership with the de Blasio administration, today announced that MediaMath, Inc., a software company, will relocate its new headquarters to 4 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan and create 1,000 new jobs over the next five years. MediaMath will develop the new space to consolidate its current three New York City offices with more than 300 employees and accommodate its rapid growth.
“As a result of New York State’s vibrant tech sector and talented workforce, we are seeing companies with a global presence, like MediaMath, choose the Empire State as the place to invest in and grow their business,” Governor Cuomo said. “The company’s commitment will generate 1,000 new jobs for New Yorkers – demonstrating both the quality of the talent in New York and the attractiveness of the area for tech savvy businesses looking to thrive. The State is proud to support the company’s major expansion in New York and we look forward to their continued growth.”

MediaMath currently has more than 450 employees around the globe, including offices in New York, San Francisco, London, and most recently, in Singapore and Tokyo. The company was the first to introduce a demand-side platform (DSP) and today, its TerminalOne Marketing Operating System™ provides 4,000 advertisers a more efficient way to reach consumers, which maximizes performance and ROI of advertising dollars.

MediaMath projects adding 200 jobs this year and maintaining a steady pace each year thereafter. The company recently sought to identify new space to consolidate their New York City workforce and accommodate their expected job growth. MediaMath considered locations in New York and New Jersey, and ultimately elected to significantly invest in and consolidate its headquarters to Lower Manhattan. The investment is supported by a $5.8 million federally funded Job Creation and Retention Program (JCRP) grant jointly offered by ESD and NYCEDC. The State and City’s incentive package was a major factor in keeping the company in New York City and assisting with the move to Lower Manhattan.
