TITLE:               Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION:     New York, NY 

DUTIES:           Deploy C++ (version 11/14/17, boost, STL libraries) based software assets in a high volume, low latency distributed systems environment capable of handling billions of transaction requests per second. Scale codebase in a highly multi-threaded, environment with a strong understanding of unix system internals including memory management, cpu affinity, embedded in-memory databases, caching concepts including algorithms such as LRU. Use heavily optimized probabilistic data structures including sketches and techniques including bloom filters. Use boost/asynchronous IO (asio) libraries to handle large custom data types  integral to handling real time bidding in a highly concurrent system distributed across the globe over 7 datacenters. Strong understanding of networking both within hosts as well as across networks using peer-to-peer file transmission, multicast networking, gRPC interface communication with other microservice applications via protobuf forma etc.

REQTS:             Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered or as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer or related position. In the alternative, Employer will accept a Master’s degree in a stated field of study plus five (5) years of experience. Pre or post Master’s degree experience is acceptable. Any combination of education, experience or training is acceptable. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of experience or Master’s degree plus five (5) years of experience with the following: Concurrent, asynchronous and memory optimized programming in C++ including use of boost and stl libraries; Writing code to scale in low latency, real time bidding environments; Python; Bash; Unix Socket Programming; Operating systems: Linux, Windows*; Networking: TCP, UDP, HTTP protocols,gRPC (protobuf) interface; Gdb; Ptrace; and Agile.

HOURS:            Full time; Mon- Fri (40 hrs/week)
