August 13, 2014 – MediaMath on July 31 announced the appointment of Ross McNab as Managing Director, North America, and Jake Engwerda as Vice President Sales, North America, to lead its growing sales organization.

According to a release from the company, the pair, which joins the respected senior management team of industry veterans and innovators, will work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to further grow MediaMath’s market share. McNab will report directly into Erich Wasserman, MediaMath’s Global CRO and Engwerda will report directly into McNab.

“At such a pivotal time in MediaMath’s global expansion and strategic development, we are thrilled to welcome Jake and Ross to the team,” said Wasserman. “Their wealth of knowledge and deep industry experience will be invaluable for our current and future clients in North America.” An entrepreneurial digital media professional with more than ten years of global experience from roles in Sydney, Hong Kong, and New York, McNab was most recently the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Kinected, MediaMath’s local Australian partner. There, he oversaw commercial operations, growing Kinected into the market leader in Australian ad tech solutions. Adept with agency customers and direct marketers alike, McNab has led MediaMath to gain a leadership position in the local market.

“The opportunity to return to New York to be a part of MediaMath’s next phase of growth is one that I couldn’t pass up,” said McNab. “The company’s deep bench of talent has established MediaMath as a leader in the rapidly evolving world of digital marketing and I look forward to accelerating our growth in North America.” Engwerda, a digital professional with over a decade of enterprise sales and leadership experience, comes to MediaMath with a career of outstanding sales achievement and sales-team building within media sales organizations and advertising technology platforms. He was most recently head of North American, APAC, and Global Accounts sales for myThings, where he established the company’s New York City office and created and implemented the company’s 2014 global sales strategy, defined new market positioning, and oversaw the restructuring of the sales and operations teams.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining the leading agent for change in digital marketing,” said Engwerda. “Not only has MediaMath revolutionized the industry and defined the Marketing OS category, but has emerged as the partner of choice for agencies and advertisers seeking powerful marketing results and greater business ROI.” MediaMath is a global technology company.
