YannickBolloreAd agency Havas has promoted Yannick Bollore to chief executive officer, taking over for David Jones, who is leaving to start his own business. Bollore had been chairman at the agency. Bollore is the son of agency co-owner Vincent Bollore, whom he replaced as chairman last year.

Out-of-home buying and planning agency Rapport U.S. has brought in Chris Ferranti, naming him vice president for the East Coast. Ferranti was previously vice president and group activation director at Mediavest.

Social advertising agency Admosis Media has named Tara Newton managing director, putting her in charge of day-to-day operations. Newton was previously an account supervisor at Deloitte Digital.

Lesley Goldman has been named vice president of development and original programming at truTV, reporting to senior vice president Marissa Ronca. Goldman had been vice president of primetime alternative at CNBC.

Spike TV has named Frank Tanki executive vice president of brand marketing and creative, effective immediately. Tanki was previously senior vice president of strategic property planning and marketing and Nickelodeon.

Magazines

 

Guggenheim Media has promoted Janice Min to co-president and chief creative officer for its entertainment group, putting her in charge of both Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. Min, the one-time editor of Us Weekly, has lead The Hollywood Reporter since 2010.

Atlantic Media has named Kelly Olson a senior director, working with its Government Executive Media Group and Defense One Events divisions. Olson was previously director of strategic initiatives and outreach at the U.S. General Services Administration.

Time Inc. has added Noora Raj to InStyle magazine, naming her associate director of communications. Raj was previously director of events and lifestyle at Alison Brod Public Relations.

The Star Tribune in Minneapolis has named Derek Simmons assistant managing editor of visuals, in charge of design for print, online, mobile and tablets. Simmons was most recently deputy design director at The Los Angeles Times.

Erich Wasserman has been promoted to global chief revenue officer at MediaMath, a digital marketing technology company. Wasserman had been general manager for the EMEA and APAC regions.

It’s an unthinkable tragedy. Monica Spear, an actress who appeared in the Telemundo telenovela “Pasion Prohibida,” and her husband were shot to death by robbers Monday night after their car broke down in Venezuela. The couple’s 5-year-old daughter survived. Spear also appeared in Telemundo’s “Flor Salvaje” and won Miss Venezuela in 2004.
