Role and Responsibilities

MediaMath is seeking a General Manager, North America who is well versed in B2B SaaS, to drive revenue generation and growth through commercial excellence for our North America region. This proven Sales leader will create the vision, execution, and oversight of our commercial experience and drive strategic sales across key markets.

The General Manager will oversee the pipeline of existing business, ensuring focus on the most valuable prospects, and leveraging current strengths to retain & grow existing accounts. Through strategic selling and diagnosis forward mastery, the General Manager will own the Sales Strategy and Professional Services efforts in all markets in North America.

Responsible for commercial excellence, the General Manager will bring a strong vision for strategic sales and can transform our commercial stance in the verticals within the remit. You will empower and staff (as necessary) our Client Success talent to apply strategic selling and best practices to rapidly deliver a world-class experience to our customers.

This leadership role will be critical to the organization’s revenue generation and growth. We currently have extremely strong momentum and see the opportunity to accelerate with someone who can lead large teams focused on both brands & agency/partnerships. The right person is a solutions-orientated, self-starter who can drive outcomes in a structured & strategic way, with a grass-roots mentality (is not afraid to get their hands dirty).

You will:

  • Deliver revenue growth and profitability for the North America business, growing market share in each vertical by driving new and existing client penetration, product adoption, and campaign performance
  • Own the P&L for North America and as a result find the best ways to align with our product, supply, ecosystems & marketing departments to maximize business returns for the region
  • Continuously leverage/enhance rolodex to determine opportunities amidst brands, agencies & partners
  • Establish and monitor appropriate KPIs, objectives, and goals for existing business teams -owning the bottom’s up process for goal setting – working closely with Revenue Operations. Analyze and interpret sales data to develop insights that can be leveraged for clients, partners, or team members
  • Manage and optimize organizational team structure – continuously evaluate and structure a framework for recruitment, retention, talent upgrades, and planned departures
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the North America Client Success leadership team
  • Support marketing and PR activities externally by engaging in speaking engagements and thought leadership events as well as creating opinion pieces and content

You have:

  • 12+ years of Enterprise B2B SaaS strategic sales experience with direct brands & agencies
  • History of hitting and exceeding revenue goals by adhering to a Customer-Focused Sales Methodology
  • Track record of leading, coaching, developing, and retaining high performing, distributed Professional and Client Services teams
  • Proven experience of rolling out Enterprise Operational Excellence
  • Proven experience in collaborating closely with business leaders to understand the needs of clients and roll out solutions and processes to increase client satisfaction, performance, and success
  • Well versed in, opinionated on, and able to anticipate advertising and marketing concepts and trends
  • Excellent communication skills; specifically, strong listening, negotiation, and presentation
