Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a process orientated, data driven individual to join our Pricing Infrastructure & Strategy Team.  The Analyst, Pricing Strategy will play an important function within MediaMath – with ownership of Pricing Infrastructure and “Deal Desk” to define operational and data integrity controls, ensure price changes are properly implemented, maintain and monitor enforcement, and ensure they are aligned with pricing strategy and corporate goals.

You will:

Pricing Infrastructure and strategy:

  • Own the training function for pricing – training sales on changes to pricing as well as proposal templates, order forms, and other related pricing items
  • Subject matter expert in pricing data flow across internal MediaMath systems
  • Implementation lead for pricing – work with the Salesforce.com team, Finance Operations, Data Platform team, Legal, and others to ensure pricing is implemented properly
  • Create and monitor reports that capture trends in discounts and deal requests that can inform pricing strategy – example: if a particular line item is waived all of the time, do we bundle it
  • Collaborate with product early in the product planning cycle in terms of uptake of certain fee types to help shape business cases and prioritization

Ownership of Deal Desk function:

  • Define the process for deal pricing approval including required inputs, and escalation path
  • Review and approve all deals within standard discount parameters of policy
  • Serve as project manager for the Commercial organization during escalation process of pricing exceptions outside of policy’s discount parameters
  • Maintain policy across product pricing, monthly minimum commitments, incentive credit schedules, payment terms, and cancellations
  • Review all agreements prior to signature to ensure pricing reflects approved terms
  • Proactively engage with Commercial, Account, and Global Partnership teams to ensure pricing compliance processes are followed. Provide training when needed.
  • Liaise with Product owners and relevant stakeholders across Finance and Revenue Operations to ensure new products are added to policy and systems are appropriately updated
  • Review and approve cancellation requests to ensure agreement terms are appropriately upheld

You have:

  • Major in Business, Economics or Statistics based degree
  • Experience in a pricing, strategy or finance role or previous adtech experience working in a trading or analysis position
  • Strong project management skills working across teams with senior business partners
  • Experience with Excel analysis and able to unlock trends in large datasets
