Advertising Platform and Infrastructure Experts Augment Industry-Leading Technology Team

NEW YORK — January 12, 2010― MediaMath, the world’s first and largest “demand side platform” (DSP), today announced that three of the digital advertising and web infrastructure industries’ most accomplished technology professionals, Vince Li, Jason Evans, and Vince Tse, have joined the company. The hires follow MediaMath’s recent adoption of the Netezza TwinFin appliance, and first-to-market real-time bidding integrations in the US and EMEA. All reinforce the company’s commitment to sustain its TerminalOneTM platform as the premier media trading solution that forward-thinking agencies use to deliver breakthrough branding and performance results.

“We are currently running hundreds of campaigns across 13 billion daily impressions in 23 countries around the world. To support this, we are using hundreds of decisioning variables, across five real-time bidding sources and fifteen biddable media sources overall,” says Roland Cozzolino, MediaMath’s Chief Technology Offier. “You can’t deliver this kind of performance and scale without the very best technology talent. Vince Li was one of the key architects of Google/DoubleClick’s DART (NASDAQ:GOOG), Vince Tse was a core contributor to Yahoo’s Right Media platform (NASDAQ:YHOO), and Jason built one of the largest data infrastructures on the planet as an Akamai competitor (NASDAQ:AKAM). It’s this combination of core experience and a bold re-imagining of what is possible that has led to both our client and corporate results.”

KEY HIRES

Vince Li, MediaMath’s Vice President of Engineering, is responsible for engineering the TerminalOne platform’s back-end infrastructure and leading its core development team.  In his prior experience at DoubleClick for more than 11 years, he was the key architect of DART, the industry’s preeminent online ad management system. Vince was also Chief Architect of Panther Express’ distributed content delivery network, leading the development behind their high performance caching technology. Li has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from The City College of New York.

Jason Evans joins MediaMath as Vice President of Technology Operations and Infrastructure, where he is charged with expanding and overseeing MediaMath’s cloud infrastructure, including network design, global load balancing, security, and scalability. In his previous role as Vice President of Operations for Panther Express, Evans built and managed 40 data centers in 28 countries, and managed the infrastructure’s growth from 250 Mbps to support over 200 Gbps of sustained traffic. Under Evans’ leadership, Panther became the world’s largest privately held content delivery network and was subsequently acquired by CDNetworks in 2008.

Vince Tse joins MediaMath as Lead Engineer, driving the development efforts of next generation components in MediaMath’s sub-systems.
