Key Responsibilities

MediaMath is seeking a Manager, Accounting to join our Finance team.  This role is responsible for optimizing MediaMath’s financial statement preparation and internal accounting procedures.  This is a hands-on position with opportunities to interact and influence at all levels in the organization. This individual will be a key contributor in shaping the future state of our financial operations and company success.

You will:

  • Prepare US GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including the writing and drafting of footnotes
  • Process and reconcile cash transactions and journal entries; deposit checks and review receipts in required currencies; review disbursements
  • Prepare monthly reporting including month-end cash reconciliations, accruals, reserves, monthly journal entries, FX, intercompany and formal close procedures
  • Research and analyze complex facts and document conclusions
  • Be the primary point of contact with the US auditors for global consolidated financial statement audit
  • Present financials and accounting positions to senior management
  • Assist on special projects including due diligence on acquisitions
  • Coordinate accounting of options associated with MediaMath’s equity plans
  • Stay abreast of emerging GAAP and communicate impact on the organization

You have:

  • A CPA with 3-4 years of experience
  • M&A and purchase accounting experience and can document M&A transactions for accounting and audit support purposes.
  • Mix of public accounting (Big Four preferred) and private industry experience (technology industry a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP coupled with deep technical skills in US GAAP financial statement preparation including multi-currency /subsidiary consolidations, foreign currency impacts on financial reporting
  • Strong PC skills—Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written; ability to effectively present to senior management.
